SPEECH THERAPY
The field of Speech pathology and Audiology is quite extensive and a much-needed area of rehabilitation in our country. Not only do pediatric speech therapists help these children with special needs speak verbally, they also come up with innovative ways to help them communicate, speak through play, and most recently, with the use of technological advancements!
The area of speech development is something quite often delayed in children with special needs and not to mention, not often seen as an emergency as compared to physical delays like walking or crawling. By the time it does come to the forefront, there are not enough speech therapists available or accessible to fill the need!
