Driven by a desire to give back meaningfully, She was looking for a worthy cause — and children were her first choice. She was fortunate to be introduced to Handimachal, which has been tirelessly working for the betterment of differently-abled children. An alumnus of the University of Oxford and currently manages a multi-university research project led by Oxford in the Indian subcontinent.Has been associated with Handimachal for the past ten years and formally joined the Board in 2023. He provides strategic guidance, programmatic oversight, and supports the organisation in building partnerships with like-minded individuals and institutions.

Joined Handimachal because I believe in creating inclusive spaces where every child, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive. Being part of this dedicated team allows me to contribute meaningfully to the lives of children with special needs and support their families on this journey.

Drawn to Handimachal for its diverse and impactful work with children, she believes it has the power to transform the lives of those without access to quality therapy. As executive head, she oversees daily operations and provides therapy, with a focus on spreading joy and helping children reach milestones and overcome challenges

Amid the peaceful hills of Himachal,  I found a blend of nature, purpose, and compassion, and most importantly a space where children with disabilities are gently guided to reach their potential. And I knew I wanted to be part of that quiet, life-changing impact at Handimachal.

Being the Therapy Manager she is grateful for the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and cases, as well as the access to various therapy materials and techniques, allows her to grow professionally and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

A mother’s journey began with the search for a therapy centre in Kullu for her son with cerebral palsy. Realizing the need was far greater, she committed herself to making a difference in the lives of other children facing similar challenges. She has now been an integral part of the CBR team for 12 years.

She believes in delivering therapy services door-to-door to ensure better access for children in remote areas. Associated with Handimachal for over 12 years she doesn't just offer therapy but hope and continuing of care

With over 15 years of dedicated service, she finds joy in helping with daily tasks and cherishes her time spent with children. Her warmth and patience make her a comforting presence for both children and families at the centre. Always ready with a smile, she plays a quiet yet vital role in creating a nurturing environment for all.

She is deeply committed to supporting families by improving their quality of life through better access to health, education, and livelihood opportunities.
